Founded in 2002 as Suzanna Maria Stationers cc, our story started in Sylvia’s garage with a single till roll converting machine, fueled by a successful loan and a bold business plan. This humble beginning led to a partnership with a Johannesburg company, prompting a rebrand to Castle Paper Rolls CT. Over the years, we grew steadily, relocating twice to our current Montague Gardens location. Now reverting to SM Stationers, we uphold a culture of Competence, Accountability, Service, Teamwork, Leadership, and Excellence, setting clear performance standards for our team. Sylvia’s motto, ‘Everything is about the right people,’ remains our guiding principle. We are committed to delivering quality products at reasonable prices while prioritizing sustainability and employee well-being.
Our environmental responsibility drives us to source raw materials from recognised paper mills adhering to international sustainability standards. We recycle surplus paper through certified operations, repurpose cores for printing houses, pallets for furniture manufacturers, and even recycle used blades and glue sticks. We comply with all local municipality effluent water regulations and hold health and safety compliance certificates, ensuring fair, friendly, and humane working conditions for our staff.
